Praying for the Renewal and Transformation of Australia

and the salvation of its people to be as a nation with Jesus Christ as Lord

  • Our nation is falling into deep moral decay. Jesus Christ is the only answer
  • It is time to take a stand for the Truth.
  • It is time to share the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ with those we know.
  • It is time to see this nation fulfil its destiny as the ‘Great South Land of the Holy Spirit’.

We encourage Christians to rise up and stand in the gap on behalf of the land Ezek 22:30 .

How you choose to observe this call to prayer would be up to you

GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR GOSPEL - Atheist Convention April 2012

Written by Rob Isaachsen Sunday, 16 October 2011 21:11

GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE THE TRUTH AND GLORY OF OUR FAITH

When the 2nd Global Atheist Convention comes to Melbourne April 2012

(The week after Easter)

Already a number of exciting initiatives are being planned (separately and now together) by different churches and ministries to affirm and showcase our faith to the people of our city at a time when the people of Melbourne will be confronted with denials of God's existence by our secular media.

There is so much hope and life in Jesus.  There is so much evidence of God at work in our city.  So many lives have been changed and healed through faith. When these people come confuse people by saying "There is no God" we can be there to smile and say "Don't be tricked.  The Living God is real - and He loves you".

Have YOU got ideas or a testimony of God at work?  - please send them to Rob ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

HOW CHRISTIAN FAITH LIFTED HUMANITY

Written by Rob Isaachsen Wednesday, 08 June 2011 11:18

WHY AND HOW CHRISTIAN FAITH CHANGED HUMANITY

By Jim Rawson, Campus Crusade Australia

Preamble

Most people have very little knowledge of the contribution Christianity has made to science, human thought and civilisation.

The growing influence of secular humanism in Australia and the rise of evangelistic atheism are enabled by widespread ignorance of this Christian contribution across our society and human history.  The aggressive promotion of atheism by Richard Dawkins and others involves the repeated claims that there is no evidence for God, and that Christianity is an irrational delusion with no value to society.

This paper summarises the historical contribution of Christianity that refutes the false claims of atheists, and strengthens the belief of Christians and those undecided.

The paper acknowledges and discusses the “evil contributions” of Christianity that are highlighted by atheist speakers as evidence against the truth of Christian faith. These include the brutal events of history, as well as how Christians in the West often live by Western values rather than by Biblical ones.

As well as 8 pages of Christian contributions to humanity, the paper discusses why Christianity became the dominant world religion – and why no other worldview or creed has impacted globally on humanity’s wellbeing.

OUR SOCIETY DEPENDS ON CHRISTIAN FAITH AND THE CHURCH

Written by Rob Isaachsen Monday, 23 May 2011 23:37

MPs, Christians and others have no idea that

OUR SOCIETY DEPENDS ON CHRISTIAN FAITH AND THE CHURCH

SUMMARY

Christian faith is the foundation of much of every level of our society: its history, laws, institutions, culture, values, economy and community support.

Our city depends on Christian welfare services beyond the capacity of government to provide.  The churches in Melbourne provide vital community support, compassion and generosity and are centres of relationships and caring for their local communities. Christian overseas aid is far in excess of any other movement

44% of secondary and 34% of all primary students in Victoria attend Catholic or independent schools and these percentages are rising - generally because parents see these schools give priority to Christian values or the style of education provided by them. (State schools could not take all this over).

The highly intentional atheist and secular humanist movements are seeking to influence governments to remove the freedom of the Church and Christian agencies to provide their community support, and Christian education programmes and Chaplaincy in schools which foster Christian values in society.  The result would be a major loss for society and especially the poor.

This will succeed is only if the government and society remain ignorant of the truth of vital contribution of the Christian community and the powerful faith on which it is built.
